The USAUD-supported Malaria Action programme for States (MAPS), is a five-years project which is expected to take on USAID's mandate of improving malaria control at scale in seven states in Nigeria. Activities in the MAPS project have commenced in seven stat, namely; Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo and Zamfara with its country office in Abuja.
Malaria Consortium one of the implementing partners of the MAPS Projects now seeks to employ professionals to work in MAPS and implement project activities in its operational states.

The role
As a member of the Latin America and the Caribbean Senior Leadership team, you will have shared accountability for Save the Children's international development and emergency programming in the region of approximately $10 million each year through an organisation of nearly 300 people.
The Country Director will lead the transformation of the country to a new operating model, whilst also delivering Save the Children's strategy within the country through:
* Delivering quality programmes, including advocacy, for children; and
* Serving Members and their donors
Qualifications and experience
* Experienced leader who has held a senior position in a relatively complex organisation * Track record in recruiting, leading and developing calibre specialist senior staff with a range of backgrounds and expertise * Track record in developing and empowering staff to deputise for and succeed to own role * Experience of leading a complex organisation through a major period of change * Strategic thinker who is comfortable with developing ambitious business strategies and has a good track record of delivering on these * Ability to manage and motivate self and others to respond to a major crisis situation, requiring swift action and rapid changes in priorities * Evidence of identifying and building strategic and effective business networks at a senior level, which have resulted in clear business benefit for the organisation * Innovative approach to solving a range of complex issues and galvanising buy-in to the solutions at all levels * Attuned political acumen and sensitivity * Strong cultural awareness * French and English are a must. Creole language skills highly recommended

VACANCY IN A DONOR-FUNDED HEALTH PROGAMME
The maternal and Newborn Child Health (MNCH) Programme is a 5-years aid programme whic operates along side with PRRINN that focuses on strengthening Routine Immunization in Northern Nigeria. The MNCH Programme aims to address the high rate of maternal and new born morterlity in selected Northern Nigeria States. This Programme is funded by Norwegian Government through a partner with DFID. It is manage by a consortium of three organizations, namely; Health Partner International, U.K, Save the Children UK, and GRID Consulting Nigeria.
In joint partnership with other stakeholders in Health Sector and Civil Societies; PRRINN-MNCH provides quantifiable support to improve primary HealthCare service delivery and system in Northern Nigeria.
